REEF Lionfish Workshop

Join the Debutante Divers for this informational session on lionfish biology and methods for safe handling.  Funded by a grant through the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Keri Kenning and Lad Akins will be traveling to twenty cities throughout the South East United States to teach lionfish collecting and handling workshops. Workshop topics include background of the invasion, lionfish biology, ecological impacts, current research findings, collecting tools and techniques, market development, and ways to get involved. Workshops are free of charge and open to the public. All divers, fishers, and ocean enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.
