Abu Dhabi Beach Cleanup 4th February 2012
You are invited to join American Community School (ACS) for a family beach clean up of Lulu Island on February 4th 2012.
The beach clean up is in support of the ACS Global Issues Conference ICARE beach clean up project. The youth community can join together and make a difference to keep our oceans clean and healthy!
The event is supported by PUMA, Environment Agency of Abu Dhabi, Emirates Diving Association, Center of Waste Management of Abu Dhabi, CNIA, Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club and Al Mahara Diving Center.
Date: Saturday 4th Feb 2012
Location: Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club (across from Marina Mall, beside Havana Café)
3pm Introduction/ safety briefing and start clean up
4:30pm Story telling by Marmo the octopus (suitable for ages 3-9 years old), Marmo is the official mascot of PUMA who will also be present at the clean up
5-6pm Count trash and short presentation about marine conservation and finish
What to bring and wear: volunteers should bring their own reusable water bottle, protective footwear, light clothing, hat and a clean up buddy and sun protection.
