U-Dive Team and Eilat Gulf Rangers Dive Against Debris
As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and engaging the local community in actions that contribute to making local beaches and dive sites cleaner and safer, U-Dive, PADI 5 Star IDC Centre in Eilat, Israel has been organizing beach cleanups and Dive Against Debris Surveys for few years already.
During our Dives Against Debris, many young divers from Eilat local schools as well as Eilat Gulf Rangers joined in and spent a very active day picking up debris from the beach and helping divers sort out the many pieces of litter found underwater. We usually collect plastic cups & bottles, glass bottles and plastic bags.
“We’re proud to be part of Project AWARE and its growing movement of divers who protect the ocean one dive at a time” said Serge Fitoussi, PADI Platinum Course Director and U-Dive dive center owner. “It’s our responsibility as dive leaders to be a role model and protect the environment for future generations so they can enjoy the beauty and wonders of the Red Sea for years to come”.
About 50 people take part in this great event each time, promoting around the necessary preservation of the Red Sea.
