The 28 degree water outside Calypso Dive Centre on Boracay relentlessly becons from across the beach, pleading with you to sneak off for a dip.

Today, after finishing Divemaster knowledge review six I snagged a beach towel and hustled off for a paddle.

I had grand plans to pick up a new bit of cute, kitchy handcrafted jewelry today from one of the beach vendors, a new anklet to be precise.

Two minutes into my swim I spotted something shiny nestled in the sandy bottom. A skin dive later saw me holding a brand new anklet. That's 2 to date, and the beginning of a Boracay truth: no need to buy souvenirs, just dive for them.
