Divers Down Dubai are arranging swimming challenges, activities, raffles and shark conservation information stands for both kids and athletes. The Finathon will be open for different ages and abilities to raise much needed funds to save these apex predators.
We are calling on divers, instructors, families, club members, guests and schools to join our Finathon and be champions for sharks. It’s a fun, healthy way to raise awareness for this important cause.
There are prizes for outstanding fundraising, distances achieved and more!

Wadi Lahami is our most southern village, located 393km south of Hurghada Airport and 180km south of Marsa Alam Airport. It is well off the beaten track and located on the doorstep of the famous Fury Shoals. It is the ideal location for anyone looking for top quality diving along with privacy and seclusion, and a proximity to nature.
This weekend we placed the first of a series AWARE-cages in a fresh water river near Thorn. Last year we discovered that there was some (illegal?) fishing going on which affected the fish population around one of our diving sites. So we started building a cage which we filled witch branches and trees to create a save hiding place for fish and a hurdle for fishermen.
