Hey everybody! I will organize with my Divemaster students some beach Cleaning during the surface intervalles Thursday 13/11 and Friday 14/11. We will do that, if the sea is not to rough, on the beach close to Xcaret. Everybody is welcome! More we are, more fun we will have, better will be our sea!
Wadi Lahami is our most southern village, located 393km south of Hurghada Airport and 180km south of Marsa Alam Airport. It is well off the beaten track and located on the doorstep of the famous Fury Shoals. It is the ideal location for anyone looking for top quality diving along with privacy and seclusion, and a proximity to nature.
Big Blue is organising another Dive Against Debris this month. We run these marine debris collecting dives about every 3 months. Last year we collected 1,114 kg of marine debris from around Port Vila Bay.
This time we are going to collect the rubbish that has accumulated along the sea front wall. Litter from the streets of Port Vila gets washed down the storm drains and ends up in our ocean. We will see how much we mange to pull out this time.
This is our continuous 'fight' against debris over Sal' s reefs and Beachs. This survey has been carried out since the beginning of 2014 in order to identify the main sources of debris and it's origin. And the most important, starting to creat some local regulations together with authorities in order to vanish as much as possible debris on our reefs and beachs.
