In the morning the school children who are part of the Atlantis Dive Centre dive program will take part in our third Dive Against Debris for the year. Doing two dives, cleaning one of our regular dive sites which is a wreck lying in 10 - 12 metres.
In the afternoon all the divers will take part in the AWARE Shark Conservation Distinctive Speciality Course.
Then early evening we are visiting the fish market to see the fish being brought to market. Recording the sharks that we see in the market.
As part to the Atlantis Dive Centre commitment to Dive Against Debris. This saturday we are out to collect even more nets. As we have has some very rough seas in recent days we expect to see many nets dragged up against the breakwaters.
To book your place please call the Atlantis Dive Centre 04 4263000
Fingers crossed the wind gives us a break and the seas stay calm
Huge Huge thanks to: Captain Ali, Enrique, Lucy, Paul, Gavin, Chantel, William, Mark, Shaun, Leo. Who all donated money to Project Aware and also gave up their day to remove the massive net from the wreck.
Honestly I did not think we would get it all done in one day. But the guys worked so hard and had a lot of fun at the same time. Lots of laughs from the moment we all got on the boat.
