clean up

On the 3rd of June 2012, we will organise a debris cleaning at the tiny fishing harbour of Vassiliki where debris occurs from local restaurants and yachts. All are welcome to contribute, divers as well as non-divers in creating a cleaner harbour in our village. Meeting time is 10.30 at Nautilus Diving Club. Sandwiches will be provided to our volunteers after the event. Thank you and looking forward to seeing you

It's time to go clean up the reef again! Destination: Cable Reef. We have been doing bits and pieces on our dives but we want to make a big difference. Everyone come join in and we'll go somewhere new next week!

Like much of Egypt - and many other developing nations - Dahab has a rubbish problem.

During the Dahab Bedouin Festival, we are collecting locations of 'rubbish hot spots' (around collection bins, etc). On 18 April - designated Environmental Day for the Festival, and also very near to Earth Day, we'll tackle as many hot spots as we can.

The clean-up will focus on the residential area Assalah in particular, where local people are facing an extreme rubbish problem.
