The PADI Master Scuba Diver rating is the highest nonprofessional rating in the PADI system; it is a diver classification that denotes superior achievement. To attain this rating, a diver must be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver (or hold qualifying certifications from another organization) with proof of 50 logged dives, and must hold certifications in any five PADI Specialty Courses.
Since 2012 we have been developing an initiative named the ‘Fin Whale Project’, which aims to study and preserve fin whales as they pass along the Catalan coast (between Barcelona and Tarragona; Spain). It is an extraordinary undiscovered phenomenon that takes place each spring, from February to June. During this period, not only are we able to observe a high presence of fin whales, but also other species of cetaceans and many species of seabirds.
We are conducting a shore entry dive on Saturday morning on Vetch's reef, this dive is for free and Calypso Dive & Adventure have kindly sponsored free gear and tank fills as well. We will be meeting at 8am at Calypso. At 11am we will be cleaning up the beach in front of the reef. Bags and gloves provided. On Sunday you can book any boat dive through Calypso, take a bag and clean the reef or wreck, the person who picks up the most trash will get their dive reimbursed. MORE
