Come and help us Do Some Good for the environment on this our first community Beach & Dive Site Clean Up for 2012 in conjunction with the Save Koh Tao Group. 

Dive site for the clean up is going to be at Chalok Baan Khao in the south of the island. 

300 baht for fundivers. 100% of contributions go towards preserving the local environment. DMT's & Above FREE.

The ECODIVER course, upon completion will allow divers to join surveys and survey teams around the globe and submit data to their Team scientists. It will open your eyes to the underwater world and you will see it in a whole different light. You will learn just HOW MUCH you are missing when you dive.

Building and construction of the addition to our artificial reef at Twins has been a huge project and seems like an endless month in the making. The time has come to bless and deploy our hard work.

 

Crystal Dive & Eco Koh Tao have built a ship specifically to receive coral transplants from our coral nurseries so getting our structure in the water is only half the work. Underwater we need to arrange the ‘ship’ and then transplant our budding coral colonies.

June 30th, 2011 – Reef Check Ecodiver Course Completed with a Survey of Twins

 

A relatively quiet month of Eco on has concluded with a bang with a much needed Reef Check Survey of one of our ‘Adopt-a-Reef’ sites.

 

During the course students undertake detailed classroom lectures on organism ID and its role in the ecosystem before diving on local reefs to get first hand experience of some of the things discussed in class.
