Like much of Egypt - and many other developing nations - Dahab has a rubbish problem.
During the Dahab Bedouin Festival, we are collecting locations of 'rubbish hot spots' (around collection bins, etc). On 18 April - designated Environmental Day for the Festival, and also very near to Earth Day, we'll tackle as many hot spots as we can.
The clean-up will focus on the residential area Assalah in particular, where local people are facing an extreme rubbish problem.
Diary Date - Saturday 10th September 2011 - any certified divers visiting Taba Heights are welcome to join in with staff from Red Sea Waterworld who will be carrying out a Reef Clean Up on Sha'ab Tamer as part of The Project Aware Debris Month Of Action.
