Please join the staff and divers of The Scuba Shop, and swimmers from Aqua-Tots Swim School in Mesa, Arizona as we swim to stop shark Finning. On March 15, 2014 from 4-6pm we will be swimming laps to gain donations, which we will provide to Project Aware in order to put an end to the process of shark finning. We are FINatical, and here is why; Shark fishing is largely unregulated around the world. Overfishing, bycatch and finning- the slicing of shark finning and throwing away the body at sea-kills thousands of sharks every day.
Swimming, running or cycling 3 miles come rain or shine every day for 3 months to raise £333 each month until Christmas is the challenge Joanne Flack, Immerse School of Diving Dive Instructor, has set for herself to help put an end to shark finning and give back to the ocean during the Holiday season.

Rohan received Project AWARE funding through the Ocean Action Project in 2012 so I made a special trip to visit the Scuba Junkie team and check out their conservation programs.
