Trawangan Dive's Project Aware month!

 

Trawangan Dive is supporting 100% Aware program from the Project AWARE Foundation, further strengthening the dive centre’s ongoing commitment to global environmental conservation activities. This is a voluntary program that encourages PADI dive centres around the world to promote the work of Project AWARE, a non-profit organisation that relies on financial support from environmentally concerned divers.

Waxing hair and auctioning staff? Well it is for charity!

Blue Season Bali (BSB) has long supported Project AWARE. From implementing beach cleanups to running AWARE Specialty courses, the team has never hesitated when it comes to doing their bit for the environment.

But recently the BSB gang have upped the ante and in 2012 they will launch their new Eco Internship program and take eco diving to a whole new level.

We are having a fundraiser in association with our monthly IE party to support Project AWARE this Sunday afternoon.

The highlight of the day's activities will be the auctioning off of waxing strips to depilate our good friend Thomas McKenzie.

All are welcome to come join in the bidding process.

Save a shark, Save the oceans, wax a Scot!

Join the beach and reef clean up!

Oceans 5 dive resort Gili Air organizes every 2 weeks a beach and reef clean up in the Harbor of Gili Air. It is possible for everyone to join, divers and non divers.

The clean up is totally free and it starts on Wednesdays at 16.30.

High/Scope Mums & Kids Goes To Pulau Seribu

A Project AWARE Kids program organized by Banyu Biru Explorers will be conducted on June 19 – 20, 2011 at the Kepulauan Seribu area of Jakarta Bay.

Activities involved will be beach cleanup, mangrove and reef planting, and turtle conservation.

The event will collaborate parents and their children in doing ocean conservation and to raise awareness towards the importance of a clean ocean and shoreline, how to preserve our shorelines and conserving the sea turtles.

Let’s clean our ocean!

About Pulau Pramuka:

It is one of the largest and inhabited island of the Kepulauan Seribu (Thousand Islands) archipelago at the Jakarta Bay. The island is located approximately 30 nautical miles north of Jakarta and could be reach within an hour by using fast boat from Marina Ancol. Pulau Pramuka is surrounded by several other islands, such as: Pulau Panggang, Pulau Pari, Pulau Tidung, Pulau Putri, Pulau Sepa, Pulau Kotok, Pulau Semak Daun and Pulau Melinju.
