Beach Clean Up on Safari Beach, Nananu-i-ra. Recent storms have washed in lots of plastics and other rubbish that needs to be removed. Our team is gathering everything and making our beautiful beach spotless again!
Join Langley Diving on Saturday September 20 at White Pine Beach for what we hope will be the largest Underwater Clean-up we have ever done, and that BC has ever seen. We want 100 divers and shore support making an impact by cleaning up Sasamat Lake like never before.
Lunch is free (Les is paying), but you will be asked to make a donation to Project AWARE. Gear rentals are on a first come first served basis and they are free too (yup, with a donation to Project AWARE)!
Pure Scuba will be hosting a clean up event at the main wharf (T Wharf) in Batemans Bay on Sunday the 14th of September as part of the Project Aware Debris month of action. This years event will be held in conjunction with the Eurobodalla Shire Council Marine Debris working group. We need divers and volunteers to help on the surface as well.
We will be meeting at the store at 10 am and are planning to put divers in the water around 12 pm on the slack tide if conditions permit.
This years Underwater Easter Egg Hunt will be taking place at Holborough Lakes on Monday 21st April. Starting at 9:30am, the Easter 'Buddy' will be hiding eggs in the lake but can you find them? Loads of prizes not just Cholocate Eggs! Land based fun and games for non-divers. Join us, have fun and help to raise money for Project Aware. For more details call Nemes Diving & Water Sports Academy on 0750 762 4911
This event is not that BIG event, this is merely just couple of friends traveling together to the Komodo National Park, and instead of just enjoying the beautiful sceneries - above and underwater -, we also take the responsibility in keeping it as beautiful as it can be.
So on every tour we go and in every dive we make, we will collect any trash we see and record the data.
If you are happen to be in the area in the exact time, whether it is only on the 11th or 13th or 15th, you are most welcome to join.
Let's, together, protect our ocean planet.
We care, we act, we conserve. MORE
