We will be making a Dive Against Debris on 1st March at Koh Taen on the south of Koh Samui. Meet at The Dive Academy at 8.30am.
Koh Taen is the destination for many snorklers that visit Koh Samui and we want them to enjoy the waters surrounding our island and go away with positive thoughts of how nice the waters around our island are and trash free!!
Bodø Sports Diving Club (Bodø Sportsdykkerklubb) have since 2005 picked up 5tonns (5000 Kilograms) of polluting fishing lures, (containing almost 100% poisonous lead), from the seabed of Saltstraumen. Saltstraumen is a small strait with the strongest tidal current in the world. It is located in the municipality of Bodø in Nordland county, Norway, located just north of the Polarcircle. Saltstraumen is a popular area for recreational fishing and -scubadiving.
Join us for our always popular beach and underwater clean up day, now part of the Dive Against Debris project.
As part of our commitment to our environment, we host an annual Beach and Underwater Beach Clean-up Day. We invite you all to join us for a day of fun and meeting new dive buddies. Every year we uncover interesting and odd relics - this year should be no different.
Practice your search and recovery skills and have a great day of diving with our instructors and divemasters.
