Downbelow Coral Planting & Reef Creation Project
The importance of coral
Resident PADI CD Richard presents the plan to our trainee Divemasters
Keeping our Oceans clean is a major issue & threat to corals so our boys spend time everyday helping the cause.
The boys get started preparing the reef blocks prior to placing underwater
Securing them to the boat was challenging enough but we still have to position them underwater.
Triumphant team all loaded ready to go.. now the real fun begins
Heavy underwater work !
Great training for our young future instructors
Last minute positioning of the weights so in goes Richard Next step will be the coral planting in our nursery to ensure they will grow before placing them on the reef blocks. For now the fish are already gathering around the first five blocks.

The Team are ready for action !
Richard DB Managing Director gives a thorough briefing before the dive... Safety First !
A choppy rainy day but we were determined !
It went on and on and on ......
Cat Sharks are particularly at risk when scavenging on other trapped creatures.
If left the net would continuously catch fish then other marine life come to feed on the dead or dying thus catching even more and the cycle goes on !
A Nudi oversees the project
