Blue Corner Dive is a PADI dive centre and eco resort located on Nusa Lembongan Island, Bali, Indonesia.

We specialize in taking small groups on naturalist-led dives within the Nusa Penida Marine Protected area. Our dive centre is located directly on the beach north of Jungut batu village looking out to one of the areas most notorious dive sites – Blue Corner. We offer a full range of PADI dive training courses on Nusa Lembongan island taught by our professional certified Instructors. We also run daily dive and snorkeling trips to the reefs surrounding the islands.

Blue Corner Dive tries to promote sustainable ecotourism in Bali. As our dive center is owned by marine biologists we provide environmental briefings to our dive sites, as well as encourage guests to become involved in active scientific research diving and volunteer projects here in Bali.

Coral Reef monitoring programs and Scientific Diver training are ongoing projects at Blue Corner Dive that we encourage guests to sign up for.

Impact assessment of reef damage from vessel grounding on Lembongan

Shortly after a grounded tug boat was removed from the reef infront of Blue Corner we put together a team to survey the damage.

Coral Triangle Center Reef Monitoring Surveys

Sept 17-24 Blue Corner Dive participated in the annual reef monitoring program around Nusa Penida MPA, as organized by the Coral Triangle Center in Bali.

The Coral Triangle Centre has established a long term coral reef monitoring program using several sites around the island. As the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area is in its early days of inception, it is very important to start tracking changes in reef health as indicated by assembledges of fish communities & coral cover.

Blue Corner Dive goes 100% Aware

Blue Corner Dive has made the commitment to make donations to Project Aware to ensure that 100% of our PADI students will recieve Project Aware versions of their certification cards.

Blue Corner Dive supports a clean, healthy ocean by making a donation on behalf of each student to Project AWARE. Our students receive the Project AWARE version of their PADI certification card and be part of a movement of divers protecting our ocean planet.

Reef Check Indonesia training in Nusa Lembongan

Reef Check Eco-Diver Training Course

Today we finished the final coral reef surveys of the latest Reef Check training course held here at Blue Corner Dive. The Reef Check Eco Diver course introduces students to comprehensive reef surveying techniques:. Thoughout the duration of the course students also collect reef monitoring data which is used in long term monitoring by Reef Check Indonesia.

Lembongan Dive Against Debris

On Friday June 8th in celebration of World Oceans Day several dive centres on Nusa Lembongan organized underwater debris clean ups with volunteer divers.

The Blue Corner Dive boat and 8 eager volunteer divers conducted a very successful clean up dive from the Mangroves to Blue Corner Dive Site. This section of reef is the recipient of drainage from the harbour and mangroves during low tides and therefore can accumulate a lot of garbage.

PADI Divemaster Eco Option

Scientific Diver Eco Internship starts today!

Carter our latest divemaster trainee is starting her training as a PADI Divemaster today. This unique internship is a month long course combining the traditional PADI Divemaster course with marine biology & scientific diving training.

Reef Check EcoDiver Training in Bali Barat National Park

Last weekend Reef Check EcoDiver Trainer, Andrew, from Blue Corner Dive was working with the leaders of Odysee Institute on the reefs of North-west Bali. Odysee Institute leads groups of school-aged children on nature-based education programs. From their base at Waka Shorea Nature Resort a permenant coral monitoring site has been established. Groups will be collecting data through Reef Check snorkeling surveys.

Pandanas plants as natural beach erosion prevention in Lembongan

This week Andrew & Agus were transplanting Pandanas plants along the high-water mark of the beach infront of Blue Corner Dive.

Our plan is to use native vegetation as an erosion barrier along the beach in order to hopefully aleviate the need for cement break-waters in the future. Cement break-waters have been built along much of the shoreline in Lembongan's harbor, causing problems such as accelerated sediment transport and erosion to adjacent sides.
