Started diving in 1978 however didn't gain certification till 1980. Started work in dive store, NZ, in 1980, became a CMAS Instructor in 1981 and a PADI OWSI, 1982, Master Instructor 1986, Course Director 1989, went to work for PADI NZ 1989, became Examiner following year, went to work for PADI Asia Pacific 1999.

Enjoy many types of diving; hunting and gathering, underwater photography, wreck and just blowing bubbles.

Most unusual diving experience: 20+ meters in a well, solo on scuba.

Biggest buzzes: teaching my kids to dive, all the great dive trips with wonderful like-minded people, great friends made, whale shark @ Sipadan, sea lion in Dunedin, seals at Seal Rock, West Coast NZ, recovering porthole off Elingamite @ 3 Kings, recovering naval shells @ secret location in NZ.
Best dive sites ever: Three Kings followed by Sipadan.
