i am 52 this year but very fit and healthy , i have been diving for 5 years at this time , i am advanced and hold 5 specialist licenses , deep diver , national geographic , enriched air , equipment specialist and emergency oxygen provider , i am taking my efr and rescue diver courses in september 2011 and will then qualify for master scuba diver , i am heavily involved with aquatic conservation and indeed land based conservation , i am also very involved in animal conservation and protection , i run my own dive club based in crawley sussex uk " trojan divers international " we are a small club ( with approx 140 facebook group members globally ) , as a group we recognise that as divers we are guardians of the worlds oceans and we strive to help in any way that we can , from conservation work to simply bringing up at least one piece of trash every time we dive . my aim is to expand the club and get more divers actively involved in conservation work and clean up activities , we hope to adopt an area of shoreline and start a local campaign to educate people to the dangers of polluting the shoreline and the ocean , ( my intention is to hold regular clean up days but with a fun social side , games competitions and challenges ,refreshments etc in order to turn it into a fun event for local people , along with divers ) , we are \ i am already a coralwatch co,ordinator for project aware but will be registering the club with project aware for other more hands on activities , more about this later ! . I would love to hear from other divers based around the sussex and south coast area to plan dives and other volunteer activities , whether they be clean ups or conservation motivated .
