Ban's Diving Resort is located on the Island Koh Tao in Thailand. Koh Tao is the Mecca when it comes to learn how to Dive from beginner to professional and Ban's Diving Resort is the largest certifying dive center in the World. With all those new and existing underwater enthusiast coming through Koh Tao, the Island takes a lot of environmental stress. This is one of the reasons that many Dive Centers on the Island have Eco friendly programs. Ban's Diving resort have a special team that created Eco Ban's diving that is actively involved in Environmental projects, above and under the water. We are also actively working with Project Aware the leading Environmental organization in the world.

Most important what we are trying to teach is not just to Save Koh Tao, but make all visiting tourist aware for protecting the underwater realm where ever the go in the world!

Ban's Project AWARE Shark month APRIL 2012!!!!

Half way into April, we are so happy with the results, but's It's only a start....!

So far we have collected over 2400 Signatures and our Project AWARE Staff Instructor taught the first Project AWARE Shark Conservation Adventure Dive during his Advanced Course!

Ban's Diving Resort is now a 100% Project AWARE Dive Center!!!

Wauw, after so much successful projects for Eco with the PADI Green Star Award and participating in the new SAVE Koh Tao projects, we now just received the 100% Project AWARE Award. This means from today, all of our new students will automatically receive a beautiful Project AWARE certification Card, helping and inspiring more than 14000 students a year to make change conserving the underwater world...

PADI Green Star Award!

Wauw! Thank you so much PADI, Project AWARE and all of our Eco Supporters for receiving the PADI Green Star Award!!! Not only did we created more credits then needed, but it is our mission to for fill all credits in the future. Project AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty Course 21-02-2012 / Amazing!

Today was a special day! We conducted the first Project AWARE Shark Conservation Course for 13 DMT´s and 4 Instructors. Not only creating 17 Specialty certifications, but also 4 Instructor Ratings on top of that. We already conducted Project AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty course at Ban’s, but this was only the theory with no certification. Now it was time for the real deal!

Ban's Diving Resort dedicated themselves to Project Aware!

Ban's Diving Resort had always supported Project Aware, but now we are on Project Aware Steroids!

Because of the large numbers of students en Fun Divers going through the resort we realized that it is a shame to use the numbers only for average awareness of the ocean planet and Project Aware, so we changed our Eco strategy. Now we are supporting Project Aware in many different way's to get donations and the message out to most people, and it's working!

And we are kicking off with the Debris Month of Action on Steroids from project Aware!

September is the Debris Month of Action on Steroids from project Aware! And we kicked off on the 1st with a Beach clean Up! Beside the regularly clean ups per month, we are now joining with Project Aware to do it on steroids! This means will be conducting 2 Beach and Reef Clean ups per week for the month September!

Marine Debris Reef Clean Up - Save Koh Tao - Project Aware

What a fantastic day it was!

It started with our monthly reef clean up, this time with Save Koh Tao and many other dive Centers!

We had a sing-up of 20 people to clean the reef of Aow Leuk on Koh Tao. It was a joint operation with Dive Centers like Crystal, Big Blue and many more...

Finley got certified as an EFR Instructor and PADI Advanced Open Water Diver! Congratulations Finley!

Today Finley started at 09:30 with the PADI Advanced Open Water Course! It was a great group with 10 students from her last Open Water course and 2 new students, 3 Instructor's and 4 Divemasters.

After a great Classroom session and Confined, Finley was ready for her first Open Water dives!

Finley met up at 08:00 in the restaurant of Ban’s Diving Resort to go on the dives, Finley was a bit sleepy, but very excited! Again on the boat Finley was the talk of the day and everyone wanted to have a talk about her! After the briefing Finley geared up. She is not used to where scuba equipment, but she liked the looks of it, So much cooler then diving without scuba gear!
