Today we enjoyed a fantastic dive at "Pipeline" with very good visibility. We got to see two big turtles around the big pinnacle and plenty of life on the abandoned pipes of the old desalination plant. The reef was clean but there was some rubbish lying around on the beach. So after our dive we decided to do a beach clean up and collected 4.5 kilos of debris which will now not be swept into the sea anymore. Thanks to everybody for your support today! Well done :)

Kathrin and the Team Nuweiba

Yesterday we went diving at Mazeriq, a place 30 mins offroad south of Nuweiba. Because of its location it is unfortunately likely to find some rubbish there blown ashore by the wind. Every time we go diving there we collect some. As we surfaced after our first dive there yesterday we were really impressed: Our Divemaster Trainee Basem, who waited for us on the beach, had in the meantime collected a huge bin bag full of all sorts of debris (plastic bottles, plastic sheets, coke cans, ropes, etc.), 16 kilos altogether!! The beach looked so much cleaner and healthier.

Every Friday during the Project Aware "Dive Against Debris" month we offer our divers a third dive for only 5 euros, as a thank you for collecting rubbish on at least one dive. We will donate those 5 euros paid by each participant to Project Aware. Yesterday we were very happy to find six volunteers joining us. As the dive site was already very clean we could not find much rubbish but got to see many moray eels, some of them getting cleaned.

Yesterday three divers took advantage of our special offer on their third dive on a Friday during the Dive Against Debris month. Together they collected various small pieces of debris  and also removed a large pipe, and a car tyre close to the pier - all of it weighed 20 kilos altogether. We appreciate your help a lot. Thank you all for your effort!
