A native Texan, I received my B.S. degree from Texas A&M Galveston in Ocean Coastal Resources. During my time at TX A&M, I interned with the US Army Corps of Engineers as a wetland regulator and earned my Scientific Diving and Cavern Certifications. In 2009, I  ventured to Florida and completed an M.S. degree in Coastal Zone Management with Nova SE University. Aside from academics, I have held positions as a Field Trip Instructor in South Florida and more recently as an Aquarium Intern with Florida Oceanographic Society.  I joined Pura Vida Divers as the Staff Biologist and PR Representative after finishing an internship in manatee identification with FAU Harbor Branch. In my spare time I enjoy kayaking, camping, surfing, and ballroom dancing (especially Salsa!).
