I've been lucky enough to see a lot of the world, traveling to over 25 different countries, hopping in and out of boats to snorkel, dive or catch some rays (sunrays of course!). I've been lucky to experience some of the most beautiful oceans in the world, which has fuelled my passion for marine conservation.
As Project AWARE Regional Coordinator, I connect directly with divers and advocates to provide them with the tools and resources they need to make change in their local communities and by doing so, protect the oceans we all love to explore. After all, it is our world to explore and it's in our power to make a change.
It was a rainy and cloudy morning on 5th September 2011. It was also an early 7am start on the 'day of rest' a Sunday! We packed up our car with diving gear and headed for the Jurassic Coastal town of Swanage, hoping that the sun would come out to play!
Our plan was to go diving and collect as much rubbish as we possibly could....
