User Profile
I had always had always been fascinated by the water, the aquatic life and its beauty since a kid. At 11 I volunteered with a group of researchers to create awareness of Mangrove Conservation in a my tiny village of Progresso, Corozal District, Belize. Since then I realized that this is what I wanted to do. In high school and college I was actively involved in Environmental Clubs doing coastal clean ups, awareness campaigns and event went to do a clean up at Half Moon Caye, in Lighthouse Reef Atoll in Belize. Later I joined the University of Belize family by enrolling as a Student in the Natural Resources Management Program. I also joined the Environmental Club here and did clean up campaigns and environmental education to children around our area. It was while doing my studies here that I joined the Environmental Research Institute as a Marine Research Volunteer. Since then I have been actively partipating in collecting MBRS data for Belize. Our main research areas has been Sea Grass, Corals, Fishes, Diadema and recently Turtle Populations. I love doing this, I love contributing to our environment's well being and I plan on continuing to contribute my efforts towards this cause.
