I attended East Carolina University from 2005-2009. For my degree, exercise physiology I was required to take 10 exercise and sport science credits. I took rock climbing and kayaking (1 credit each) and I needed a couple of courses to just get the 10 over with! I noticed scuba diving was a 3 credit course, I though PERFECT! and enrolled. After I took basic, I was hooked. I contiinued to take dive classes, advanced, master diver, rescue diver, divemaster and finally the instructor course. I graduated ECU with a BS in exercise physiology with a focus in diving and a NAUI instructor rating. I interned for Diver's Alert Network in the summer of 2009, upon my return from Grand Cayman I was offered a job working with Dive Key West Inc. I packed my bags and moved to Key West. I worked for DKW for 3 1/2 years during that time I completed my SSI and PADI crossovers. I am now the dive program director at Florida Keys Community College where I teach PADI exclusively.
