I have been part of various research teams based on marine ecology, which has provided me with general knowledge of marine species. I also have experience in reef monitoring systems, due to the internship I developed in the Marine and Coastal Research Institute (INVEMAR). During this six month period I became a member of the field work team, monitoring four different reefs systems (Isla Fuerte, Rosario Islands, San Bernardo Islands and Tayrona National Park). In this monitoring system I evaluated coral cover vs. algal cover, coral diseases, fish abundance, fish diversity and mobile invertebrate abundance.
