Liquid is a new style resort based in Bulak, Dauin, about 20minutes from Dumaguete City. Aimed towards the modern day traveler, whether you are a flashpacker, backpacker or holidaymaker Liquid is the place for you. Affordable, comfortable modern facilities with a native twist set on a large beach front property with views of Apo and Siquijor Islands.

The Lodge is the heart of Liquid and houses our PADI dive shop which offers courses from beginner to instructor level and a great fun diving packages. The bar and restaurant are found on the second floor where the large balcony overlooks the swimming pool and beach.

Liquid is passionate about diving and especially about the ocean that makes it all so worthwhile.

Preserving and conserving the ocean is something we strive to realize daily.

Making a difference

It is always encouraging to find out about people and projects that are aiming to make the world just that little bit better of a place. Recently we have had a run in with not one but two different projects that are doing just that.

Dolphins Love Freedom

Recently Liquid had the opportunity to meet a local Pilipino that has been making an important impact on how locals perceive the ocean. A.G. Sano is a quiet spoken man who is bringing a powerful message throughout the provinces of his home country. A.G. is the founder of Dolphins love Freedom a group that is advocating ocean conservation, especially the protection of dolphins. What makes the group so successful is the medium they choose to deliver their message. A.G. is an artist and has the ability to create fantastic murals featuring all manor of aquatic life.

First Sunday Funday

On Sunday December 2nd Liquid held it's first ever Sunday Funday.

The dive site clean-up was held in the morning with a load of fishing line being cleaned off of the reef. Of course there was plastic and other debris collected as well.

In the scorching mid-day sun we also held a beach clean-up. Several sacks of rubbish were collected from the beach as well. Even with the heat we managed to cart back a massive amount of debris from our coastline.

Seeing Stars

We have been star struck lately. Nope, no celebrity sightings here at Liquid. Maybe it's because we don't have umbrellas in our drinks or jet skis for rent by the hour. Despite the lack of Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie we still managed to see some big time stars. Early in October we received the 5 Star Dive Resort status from PADI. Then in the middle of October we received the Green Star Award. MORE

How Do You Pick Up Trash

It seems like a fairly easy question. But that’s assuming that you bother to pick it up at all. For the vast majority of the population (of course it varies regionally), people don’t bother to pick it up. I remember having a friend that thought it was actually his duty to create rubbish. He would nonchalantly open the car door along some highway or another and causally lob fast food containers and plastic bottles out the side. In his mind he was doing a public service. His rational was that if there was no garbage to pick up then how on earth
