- My Summary
I made my first dive in 1991 when making my first open water dives in Lake Chelan, in Washington, while getting OW certified with my mom and two brothers. My step dad was a rescue diver for the sheriff’s department, so he naturally got us involved in diving.
My “before 40 bucket list” included getting my Master Scuba Diver certification, which I accomplished. During the last dive of the rescue course, a new diver, after finding out I was getting my MSD certification asked, “So, what’s next?” Without missing a beat, Scott Taylor, Course Director (MI at the time), who was working with both me and the new diver, chimed in with, “He’s going to be a pro.” I’d never really given it thought, but here I am. I am now a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, on my way to becoming a PADI Master Instructor.
My wife is also a diver, and has her AOW certification. Our dream is to someday have a small B&B somewhere near tropical waters and specialize in catering to scuba divers, whether it is vacationers or those wanting to get away from things to do serious dive training.
