- My Summary
Though I've grown up in a land-locked state, I have wanted to be a marine biologist ever since I was 6. I am currently a senior at Purdue University double-majoring in Fisheries & Aquatic Sciences, and Wildlife Biology. Elasmobranchs have been my entire life's passion, and I have spent time in Gansbaai, South Africa working for Dyer Island Conservation Trust as a Marine Dynamics Intern. I hope to one day attend graduate school and participate in research involving elasmobranchs, coral reef interspecies interaction and marine ecosystem conservation. My life has revolved around the sea, and I have no other place in this world than in the water. Though only 2 of my internships have involved working in a marine environment, and only 2 of my 4 college practicums will have focused on salt water environments (the third focused on freshwater ecosystems), I believe my passion, experience, and enthusiasm will allow me to make a splash in the world of marine conservation, research and education!
Also, I am soon to be a certified PADI Rescue Diver, and could not be more excited!
