Mike is a teacher at The Southport School on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. He has been a PADI Instructor since 1988 and has taught hundreds of students to dive and hopefully to appreciate the marine environment. Mike introduced Marine Studies to the school in 1991 and has taught and coordinated the subject since that time. Mike has a love of the ocean and its inhabitants and is appalled, like many Aware members, by the lack of understanding and empathy shown by those who abuse our oceans and their resources.
