In a nutshell I am a chronic adventure junkie, published ink-slinger, conservationist and travel addict. Like many people I feared sharks most of my adolescent life until I had a chance to do a great white shark cage dive in South Africa. We went to the famous Seal Island in Mosselbai, also known as the mini-market for sharks. I had seen this spot on Shark Week, it ranked high on my bucket list. It is one of the only places on earth where Great Whites breech and we were gifted with a sighting right beside our boat - INCREDIBLE! I learned so much about this misunderstood species from the research team I went out with. Since then fear of sharks has been transformed to a love for sharks. I have the deepest respect and passion for their conservation. I write about adventure, animals and conservation - my three passions. I reside in Vancouver, BC, Canada and Los Angeles, California.
