Being a diver since 2008 and an instructor since 2011, my love for diving has made my love for the ocean grow.

Working at the Bay Islands College of Diving and working closely with organisations like the Whaleshark and Oceanic Research Center, I feel like I am in a privileged position to do something back for mother earth.

Bay Islands College of diving is also the only 100% Project Aware Shop on Utila, does regular dives for debris and goes out weekly on a dive to contain the spread of the invasive lionfish in the Caribbean, followed by a weekly cooking session in the Utila Lodge restaurant.

I am convinced that as diving's popularity grows, it is our duty as dive professionals to make sure that this is an industry in which ecological awareness is the standard.
