My Summary

A Padi & Cmas diving instructor and former Turkish Dive Guide, I devote much of my spare time to supporting ocean conservation, particularly sharks and dolphins, often with the help of my three young children and my husband Steve, who share my passion for saving marine flora and fauna. A former journalist, I left the rat-race in London to train as a diving instructor in Turkey. I have since dived all over the world - from the Bahamas to the Black Sea - but my favourite dives are with sharks.

I am an admin on Facebook sites Support Our Sharks (www.supportoursharks.com), Support Our Sharks Europe and Shark Tsunami UK - please find us and 'like' us to receive regular shark-related news and updates. This year, for the first time, I am also supporting the worldwide Japan Dolphins Dayby holding an event in Poole, Dorset, to protest the start of the annual Taiji dolphin cull as seen in the Academy Award winning documentary The Cove. The message is positive: Japan let the dolphins live and be free!

I also do free Save Our Seas/Sharks school talks at local first schools and regularly help with beach clean ups. I support worldwide, nationwide and local campaigns involving saving our seas and sealife, including those of Project AWARE. I believe that education is the key to safeguarding the future of our oceams and marine life and that our children hold that key... SAVE OUR SEAS, SAVE OUR SHARKS!
