Project AWARE Event in the News - Utusan Malaysia 26 Apr 2012

On 13 April 2012, Ocean Elements once again successfully organised a Project AWARE Beach Cleanupevent in Dungun, Terengganu. This is the second year we organised such an event in Dungun and our fifth year of organising a Project AWARE coral reef conservation program.

Coral Reef Conservation Seminar at Sekolah Menengah (Secondary School) Paka, Dungun

Ocean Elements organized a coral reef conservation seminars on 13 April 2012 for 50 students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (National Secondary School) Paka, Dungun, Malaysia. 50 staffs from the local branches of Bank Islam also joined in the seminar held at the school.

At the end of the seminar, the students were awarded Project AWARE certificates while the school received a collection of books and reference materials on the ocean, marine conservation and marine animals, courtesy of the event sponsor, Bank Islam.

Project AWARE Beach Cleanup, Dungun, Malaysia - 13 April 2012

This event marked the second year Ocean Elements Sdn Bhd - PADI Dive Centre had organised a beach cleanup event in Dungun, Terengganu, Malaysia. We would like to thank Majlis Perbandaran Dungun (Dungun City Council) for their support and assistance which made this year’s event another success. This year’s event is wholly sponsored by Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam) as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Project AWARE Conservation Event Planner

Give Sharks a Fighting Chance, Sign the Petition

We tried to implement the "Give Sharks a Fighting Chance, Sign the Petition" widget on our website at oceanelements.my without success. We think its the iframe html implementation which somehow does not agree with our web server's security setting due to concerns about iframe script injection. We're not going to argue with that. Better be safe than sorry.

New Look to Our Website

Our PADI Staff Instructor, Halimi finally managed to migrate our website at http://oceanelements.my to Joomla version 1.7.2 from the old version 1.5.24. Due to the big leap in version number, the process was anything but a simple upgrade.

Coral Reef Conservation Seminar - Lang Tengah, Jun 2011

Ocean Elements conducted a Project AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Seminar today for 11 staffs and family members of Omni Petromarine Sdn Bhd, during the company dive trip to Lang Tengah Island in Terengganu, Malaysia.

The seminar was also attended by six PADI Divemaster candidates who took part in the dive trip as part of their Divemaster internship with Ocean Elements.

Dive for Earth Day 2011

For the past four years, Ocean Elements Sdn Bhd had organized Project AWARE coral reef conservation programs on Tenggol Island near the town of Dungun, in the State of Terengganu, Malaysia. Most of the programs have been participated by our own divers and their families and friends, who traveled from Kuala Lumpur and other major towns to the island. However, participation from the local community had been very minimal.
