Do you like turtles? Do you like to see them more often?

The Gili Islands, Indonesia have a lot of Turtles. There are many Green Sea Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles around.

Oceans 5 has a project to support the turtles. Oceans 5 doesnt buy them, or is buying the eggs. But if someone finds an injured turtle or see some small ones going the wrong direction, Oceans 5 is taking care of them.

Last year Oceans 5 has released over 200 turtles. And hopefully all are still alive and enjoying the beautiful underwater world.

A few days ago Oceans 5 dive resort released 10 Hawksbill sea turtles. These were the last ones of the big group of sea turtles were Oceans 5 were taking care of. The turtles were released in front of the dive shop in the harbor of Gili Air, Lombok, Indonesia.

Oceans 5 is taking care of injured turtles or little turtles that didnt went straight to the ocean.

Yesterday Oceans 5 dive resort organized another reef clean up. Instructor Phil, Divemaster Yvonne and Divemaster Trainee Budi took care of 7 other divers who wanted to help.

The clean up started at 16.00. At that time the preparation started with preparing the bags, the gloves and all the equipment. At 16.30 Divemaster Yvonne gave a dive briefing about how everyone should take the rubbish away, the bottom time, the max depth and buddy teams.

Oceans 5 dive resort organizes every week beach and reef clean ups. Specially now when the rain season starts there arrives a lot of rubbish at the beaches. If we do nothing this rubbish will sink and destroy the beautiful underwater world.

Yesterday all the staff cleaned the beach in fron of Oceans 5. The result is  6 bags and 3 bins full of rubbish.
