Every day tons of our daily life trash makes its way to the ocean.

If you have a choice to dive in a soup of plastic, the smell of petrol around you, seeing more rubbish than fish or diving in crystal clear water? The choice is easy isn't it?

The rain season starts slowly this year. But this year we noticed that there is more and more plastic is floating around than in previous years.

Oceans 5 is cleaning now every day the beach in front of the shop in the harbor of Gili Air when it is low tide. The result is 5 bags of plastic. This can be water bottles, bags, candy papers, etc.

It was time for their release. After being at Oceans 5 for 8 months these Hawksbill sea turtles were ready to return to their home, The Ocean.

The people who were taking care of them, Nun, Uding and Bahry, helped to get the turtles to the beach. There they were released! Some of them were shy and didnt know what to do with their freedom, other enjoyed the first minute and run into the ocean as it was not new for them.
