Thank you for taking some time to check out my Project AWARE profile. I am known to many as Scuba Steve and I am a PADI Course Director (instructor trainer). I enjoy teaching all levels of diving and love having a postitive influence in the lives of the people I have the privlidge of providing diving instruction to. I espcially enjoy teaching PADI classes with my wife, Theresa, who is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor. I currently spend most of my time providing instruction to divers in the clear alpine waters of Lake Tahoe, high in the Sierra Nevada mountains where I am a staff instructor with Tahoe Dive Center located in Carson City, Nevada. I also teach PADI Instructor Development Courses with Breakwater Scuba located in Monterey, California, Aquatic Dreams located in Modesto, California, Sierra Diving Center located in Reno, Nevada and San Francisco Scuba Schools in Pacifica, California.
I love wreck diving and diving the sidemount equipment configuation. I also love to travel and I frequently be found in Monterey, California, the Florida Keys, and various international destinations like the Philipine Islands, Fiji, the South Pacific, and in the Caribbean Sea. Bascially, if there is water you are likely to find me trying to dive in it...
I fully supports Project AWARE and the goals and objectives of being an ambassador for our planet's aquatic environments. I regularly teach the PADI Debris Removal Diver Speciality course and love seeing divers "Make Every Dive Count." I beleive that if we as divers work together we can make a difference in the health and welbeing of our oceans and aquatic environments.
