April 2002 I learned to dive in Exmouth (Western Australia) toghether with my best friend. Followed by the Advanced a few years later in Ko Raya Thailand. I was a real holiday diver. Spoiled with the tropical waters and the big fish. Seeing them all in my first 25 dives. Manta's, Whale Sharks and a lot more.
Wanting to learn more I did my Rescue Diver course back home in the Netherlands and one year later my Divemaster. That was the moment I got really hooked. I wanted more. I did my IDC shortly after. I worked as a part time OWSI in the weekends. But because I enjoyed it so much I decided to travel the world with my SCUBA gear. I worked for almost 2 years on Utila (honduras) and Curacao. Returning to the Netherlands I kept working full time in the dive business and worked my way up to Master Instructor.
In February 2012 a dream came true, I became a PADI Course Director. From March 2012 till January 2016 I worked as a full time PADI Course Director for Scuba Republic. Since January 2016 I am working as a freelance PADI Course Director.
