- My Summary
Having completed my Open Water course in 2002, and diving around the UK, Malta and Kenya over the following couple of years, I became an instructor at the end of 2004. I spent evenings and weekends teaching for The Diving Academy, based in Manchester until 2007, when myself and my wife Sarah moved to Malta so we could be instructors on a permanent basis. We have been with Divewise in St Julians since then and are now Master Instructors. My first venture into the world of Project Aware was early in my diving career, cleaning up Treaddur Bay in North Wales each September. In 2006, I filmed some basic underwater shots for the local tv news programme whilst cleaning the beach at Trefor Pier in North Wales. Since then i have organised divers from Divewise to clean the beach area in St Julians to coincide with clean ups arranged and sponsored by a local company. Myself and Sarah have recently written a Distinctive Specialty about Mediterranean Sea Slugs, so we can educate divers about these wonderful creatures, and encourage the divers to protect them through responsible diving practices.
