A Wonderful Morning on the 22nd for the Underwater Clean up dive that was held at Aow Leuk Bay on Koh Tao. All the divers meet at Sunshine Divers at 7am to head off for the dive.

Several items especially plastic bags, and fishing lines were collected. A total of approx. 27 kg of rubbish collected. The most unusual item collected was a very big HAT!

Sunshine looks out onto the beautiful bay of Chalok Baan Kao, everyday we are either playing vollyball on the beach (when low tide), or playing with the residential dogs Yoyi & Meh.  Whenever we notice garbage on the beach or swaying in the surf we get our bags & get to work.

During November the Tide tends to be rather high, rather often at Sunshine, so instead of a beach clean up we decided to take part in a `High Tide Floating Debris Clean Up`.  

The PADI Project Aware - Dive Against Debri - was conducted by the Sunshine Divemaster Trainees on the 25th of August, 2012 on Lighthouse Bay, Koh Tao.

They collect an estimated weight of 6 kg. There were several tyres, ropes, large netting obviously deployed fishing boats and some of these items were too heavy to remove so they are still in place (awaiting our return with lifting devices); Yet the most interesting of items was an expensive pair of Spectacles.
