I have a background in Earth Sciences, with an MSc in Geology. I took my first breath underwater back in 1986 in the glacial lakes of Alberta, Canada, where I was studying at the time. I soon moved on to warmer climates and became a PADI Instructor in Australia and then taught diving in the Red Sea. I joined the Project AWARE team in Bristol, England in 1999 at the same time I joined PADI. I'm a PADI Course Director and Instructor Examiner, and am currently the Training Director for PADI Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as Director for Project AWARE for the same region.
