We also run BioRock Projects for students to come and study for a minimum of 2 weeks and study the history and technology behind the BioRock structures, carry out coral gardening and make their own BioRock structure which they then place in the seabed. AWARE Month in Full Shark Swing

Trawangan Dive has kick started AWARE month with a Dive Against Debris. Divers went out on the 2nd April to clean up the house reef.

This month will be full of AWAREness, including beach clean ups, dives against debris - 100% AWARE, quiz nights with sharky themes, Shark Distinctive Speciality Courses being taught and much much more.Debris found included large amounts of fishing net, big tarpaulin and loads of tiles.

AWARE month Trawangan Dive

AWARE month is now up and running at Trawangan Dive. For every diver we certify we will be donating money to Project AWARE, and each of our divers will recieve a free Project AWARE card! We are also running events through out the month of April making our customers 100% AWARE.

Reef Restoration Project at Trawangan Dive

Since 2004 Trawangan Dive has run a Biorock® Specialty course as well as gaining further knowledge and experience in reef survey techniques and coral gardening. Certain areas of shallow water corals around the Gili Islands have suffered damage by combinations of coral heatstroke, disease, land-based sewage, global sea level rising, over-fishing and direct physical damage. A revolutionary new technology called Biorock® can make this possible. The Biorock® Process involves a submerged steel structure that applies a safe low-voltage electrical current.
