Beginning in mid-2015, Ocean Sanctuaries will begin a citizen science marine life survey of the Canadian warship Yukon, sunk off the coast of San Diego in 2000, to act as an artificial reef. Since 2000, numerous species of marine life have made the Yukon their home and a second baseline survey would be useful. The first baseline survey was done by the San Diego Oceans Foundation in 2004.

Join us for the Third Annual Scrub the Tub in Tobermory, ON. The goal is to get as much debris out of our crystal clear waters as possible. The clean up is focused to Little Tub Harbor but we hope to expand as we have more participants!
Divers Den will donate all rental gear/tanks/etc required for volunteers.
The event is sponsored by Crowsnest Pub and food and beverages are provided for participants (both underwater and on shore!) after the event!
This Beach Clean up is designed as the Independance Day Fire works clean up. As it is dark when the fire works go off and the party ends there is normally residiual debris left on the beach that will end up in the ocean this will be a full day event going around Kauai to all firework desinations. Join one in your area or join us for the day of traveling around the island to help clean up and keep our island clean and our ocean debris free.
These expeditions have been created to offer the best experience ever with the animals observed, in a totally respectful manner to the animals and their environment, with very high standard courses but comprehensible to anyone, in the best locations and in the best periods of the year. The participants encounter animals in their habitat and learn about biology, ecology and ethology of these predators. All guests can get in the water with animals as there is no scuba qualification required.
