We are organsing a Dive Against Debris Specialty day to coincide with the inernational coastal clean up day. We will be doing 2 dives on Grand Anse Beach. We are also running Lionfish Eradicator coursrs that day to help with the invasive lionfish problem that we have here in Grenada. Non divers are welcome to join in with a beach clean up that is happening on the same day. Then we will all get together for a Lionfish BBQ.
Dive 2000 are doing an underwater clean up on Saturday 19 September at Balmoral Baths. We should plan to be in the water between 10am and 10.30am so the general public can see us coming out of the water with all the junk so please arrive at the shop on time to pick up your gear and then go straight to Balmoral. Join Jack's Diving Locker for an Underwater and Shoreline clean up! Participants should meet at Kailua Pier at 9am. Jack's Diving Locker will donate one free tank rental per diver, as well as provide clean up materials such as bags and gloves. Pot luck to follow at the Jack's Diving Locker Pool. As part of the "Spring Clean" of beatuiful Picton township, we are hosting a rubbish collection dive on the Picton foreshore. Snorkelers and scuba divers welcome, as well as helpers or supporters. Depth will vary but for most part the diving will be under 5 meters. There will be free air for divers and providing divers supply there own equipment the event is free. We plan a scallop dive afterwards on our return trip.
