About Pulau Pramuka:
It is one of the largest and inhabited island of the Kepulauan Seribu (Thousand Islands) archipelago at the Jakarta Bay. The island is located approximately 30 nautical miles north of Jakarta and could be reach within an hour by using fast boat from Marina Ancol. Pulau Pramuka is surrounded by several other islands, such as: Pulau Panggang, Pulau Pari, Pulau Tidung, Pulau Putri, Pulau Sepa, Pulau Kotok, Pulau Semak Daun and Pulau Melinju.

In April 2010, the Icelandic Volcano got me stuck in California where I was attending a Project AWARE global staff meeting to discuss the current state of our ocean planet and re-defined a clear, positive vision for the future. An epic journey back home and 14 months of team work later, I celebrated with my Project AWARE and PADI colleagues the re-launch of our organization with a new logo, website, mission, and strategies for ocean protection.

Reef Day 20011 at the Mataking Island, Borneo – “Communities Working Together”
Building on the Mataking Island previous community events, the theme for the 2011 annual event was “Communities Working Together”.
Each year during June, The Reef Dive Resort at Mataking Island comes together with schools, community leaders, local NGO’s and local authorities to make the aquatic world a better place in the Sabah area.
