International Coastal Clean Up Day

 

We are organsing a Dive Against Debris Specialty day to coincide with the inernational coastal clean up day. We will be doing 2 dives on Grand Anse Beach. We are also running Lionfish Eradicator coursrs that day to help with the invasive lionfish problem that we have here in Grenada. Non divers are welcome to join in with a beach clean up that is happening on the same day. Then we will all get together for a Lionfish BBQ.

A group of local ocean enthusiasts will be hosting a shore and inwater cleanup at the Sugarloaf Jumping Bridge located on mm17 in the Florida Keys !

At 9:00 we will open the gates and get everyone equipped with trash bags, gloves, water and sunscreen

At 9:30 we will start cleaning up the road to the bridge 

10:30-11:00 free divers and in-water cleanup volunteers can enter the water

1:30 tally trash/group pictures

Memorial Day Weekend Lake Clean-Up and Grill

Come help clean up our favorite local dive spot on Saturday, May 23!  Call The Scuba Shop (480-705-927) to preregister as this is always a popular event and tanks do become scarce.  We will be meeting at the dive location at 1:00 PM, briefing at 1:30 PM, and a dive window from about 1:45 to 3 PM.
