For 2016 Earth Day, we are cleaning up under the Pier at the Tugboat Dive Site. An area very popular with the local fisherman, which unfortunately has led to a great build-up of old fishing line, fish cans and beer bottles amongst other unwanted debris. Dry volunteers always welcome to help clean up the beach / land in the area :)
Do you love the Earth and our Oceans as much as we do? Then let's join together in bettering one of our favorite local dive sites! Join Ocean Adventures and Action Watersports on Saturday April 23rd at Veteran's Park, in Redondo Beach for a fun day of beach dives, paddle boarding, Earth Day clean-up and a BBQ lunch!
The weather is forecast to be a beautiful morning. So please, come and join in 'Protecting Our Ocean Planet - One Dive at a Time'. Even if you do not dive, get in touch and we will tell you how you can help. "Water and air, the two essential fluids on which all life depends, have become global garbage cans" Jacques Yves Cousteau.
Beach clean up associated with yearly family camping event. The Beasley camping event happens every July at Leo Carillo State Beach. This year we will have one full day to make an impact on cleaning up the beach we love so much. Every person big and small is encouraged to collect as much trash as they see and remove the possibility of it entering the ocean and harming unsuspected sea life. Prizes will be provided for those who collect the most trash.
Come join us to clenup the area around the Rompeolas and Mosquito Pier. Enjoy a morning with friends and family while you help the environment. After the clenup we will have a BBQ for all participants.
