New Dive Instructors in South Korea Get Top Scores for Conservation
Asia Pacific PADI Instructor Examiner Challenge 2009 - Winners announced!
In 2009 Project AWARE challenged Asia Pacific PADI Instructor Examiners to certify new PADI Instructors with the Project AWARE version of their certification card during their PADI Instructor Exams. Overall 33% of new PADI Instructors donated to Project AWARE raising AU$9,351 for the charity. Project AWARE is pleased to announce the Winners of the Instructor Examiner Challenge 2009. 
New dive instructors in South Korea get top scores for conservation thanks to their enthusiasm to help Project AWARE Foundation raise funds for environmental projects.
Thank you to all PADI Examiners whose support and passion for Project AWARE is very much appreciated. Project AWARE Foundation Asia Pacific Director, Henrik Nimb said, "A big thanks to all new instructors in Korea who made a donation. Divers Edu and Dream Diver deserve special recognition for their combined donation of over AU$2,000. And PADI Instructor Min Kyoung Jang made a personal gift of AU$1010. Such a generous gift helped Project AWARE reach our goal and for this we are extremely grateful."
"The Instructor Examiners Challenge is designed to create a network of dive instructors who can spread the AWARE philosophy through the dive community as well as helping to raise important funds," added Nimb.
Support from divers in South Korea is instrumental and absolutely essential to help Project AWARE reach their conservation goals now and into the future. Project AWARE Foundation is braced to implement a strong, innovative action plan for 2010. All gifts will be put to good use to secure protection for aquatic resources on a global scale, during a time when action is so critically needed.
