VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Underwater & Coastal Debris Cleaning, Large Debris Hauling, Kayak Support, Data Input.
On Aug 7, 2014 winds and storm surge from Hurricane Iselle hit Kapoho. This is an area of tide pools and ponds that have now has decomposing storm debris. This debris has caused anoxic (low O2) conditions that have impacted the aquatic life within the Kapoho Ponds. There is also storm debris in the surrounding tide pools and coastline that require cleanup actions. Shoreline and kayak support are needed for debris transport, if available.
