I am excited to join an organization that is doing critical marine conservation work and I feel privileged to work alongside those who are committed to making a difference”Alex S. Earl
Alex draws from an extensive background in global non-profit management, strategic planning, program development, campaigning, fundraising, and business development as well as extensive cross-cultural and international experience.
“Divers interact with and experience our ocean planet in a truly special way. Every diver has had a moment frozen in time and for me it was my first experience floating weightless above a pristine coral reef and then seeing a shark gliding through the water below me. The immediate feeling upon surfacing was a desire to experience this rich natural world again and again and to help protect it for the future. I have learned first-hand that the challenges of protecting and conserving the marine ecosystems that provide these experiences are growing exponentially year by year. With two decades of marine conservation experience and diver engagement, Project AWARE is uniquely positioned on a global scale to work with the dive community to strategically fight and win battles for the ocean,” said Earl. “I am excited to join an organization that is doing critical marine conservation work and I feel privileged to work alongside those who are committed to making a difference while earning the support of the dive community as their nonprofit voice for marine conservation.”
Alex comes to Project AWARE from Sea Shepherd Conservation Society where he demonstrated his ability to combine his solid business acumen with his passionate commitment to making a lasting difference in the health and well-being of our ocean and for the animals that live in it. He served on the Boards of Sea Shepherd Australia and Sea Shepherd United Kingdom and has participated in volunteer efforts with numerous ocean conservation and animal protection groups.
Please join us in welcoming Alex Earl, a new addition to the Project AWARE team!
