Christmas Net Removal at Downbelow

Christmas Net Removal at Downbelow

Christmas came early for the reef in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park as the Dive Downbelow PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre team strike again for conservation!

Upon discovering another discarded illegal fishing net, we quickly scrambled a team of staff to go take care of the problem and put a little Christmas cheer back in the South China Sea.

Downbelow Marine & Wildlife Adventures have and always will be committed to marine conservation and to date, we have removed more than 150 dumped nets from the reefs of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park.

We truly believe this has had a very positive impact on our local environment and this is one of the first tasks that our professional team learn when joining the company along with cleaning the beach.

Thank you to our guest Jianlong for assisting and taking some pictures of this net removal and being an ocean warrior!
