Volunteers needed for this event include:

  • Divers -  On the day of the dive cleanup, dive volunteers must submit their signed liability form (will send separately with Dive Plan). Diver/surface marker buoys are required for this dive event.
  • Kayaks/canoes – Volunteers with kayaks or paddleboards will support the divers in the water.
  • Safety observers – Need pier and shore safety observers.  Shore safety observers will assist divers in and out of the water.
  • Data collectors - Document debris collected for submission to Ocean Conservancy’s Marine Debris Index.
  • EVENT LOCATION:  Jules Verne Park and Ballast Point Pier, 5300 Interbay BlvdTampa, FL 33611

    EVENT DATE/TIME: Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 0830-1200. Diver safety brief at 9am.

    POC: To volunteer, please send an e-mail to with your name, contact info, what position you are volunteering for, and shirt size. Please submit by Sep 12 to guarantee a shirt.
